Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Senior Director, Program Management – Applications will play a key role in shaping Acadia’s digital transformation landscape by orchestrating and managing a portfolio of large-scale Enterprise implementation and deployment programs, such as EMR, ERP, and HRIS. This role is for a seasoned leader who can lead and collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional teams to drive enterprise level transformation initiatives, influencing both business and technical aspects. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in delivering complex and standardized enterprise initiatives while overseeing multiple project teams and ensuring program goals are reached. You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to enable the successful completion of complex programs and ensure that the programs meet budget, schedule scope, and other program controls.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Program Leadership: Define, refine, and oversee key enterprise programs, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery while maintaining a keen focus on timelines, scope, quality, budget, value, and other program controls.
  2. Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with executives to align programs with organizational strategies, translating business goals into actionable programs
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, business leaders, tech teams, and project managers, to understand business needs, define program objectives, and manage expectations.
  4. Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to ensure smooth execution, employing problem-solving techniques and contingency planning.
  5. Resource Management: Allocate and mentor resources efficiently across programs, balancing team capacities and competencies to optimize project outcomes.
  6. Performance Tracking: Develop and implement robust performance metrics / KPIs to monitor program progress and enable regular status reporting
  7. Change Management: Lead consideration of change initiatives associated with program implementations, ensuring seamless adoption and minimizing disruptions.
  8. Vendor Collaboration: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, on these programs
  9. Quality Assurance: Uphold industry best practices and standards in program management, driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  10. Project Management - Assist in project scoping efforts, and guide Project Managers in project planning, identification of project interdependencies, and project execution within budget and schedule
  11. Current Trends - Stay current with healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to the industry

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years in an experience in enterprise program and change management role implementing and supporting complex business and systems environments
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing multiple large-scale programs concurrently
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools and methodologies
  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders and project resources at all levels
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and influence without direct authority
  • Capable of working within established policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by the organization
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and technical teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulations is beneficial
  • English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions

 

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification is a plus
