Pittsburgh Allegheny County Jail is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical evaluations and treatment of patients within the Allegheny County Jail facility under the supervision of the MAT Medical Director (Acadia Healthcare, Inc) and staff and work collaboratively with them under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners.
The Allegheny County Med Unit offers greater access to medications for opioid use disorder [MOUD] than many jails and prisons in Pennsylvania. The county agreed to offer MOUD to all who would benefit, not just pregnant people or those booked with a valid prescription. This is important, and life changing treatment for those in greatest need.
This position requires Board Certification/Eligibility, an interest and/or experience in MAT. This is a part time positiion and the hours are 7 AM until 1 PM. Job requires at least 1 weekend day and we offer a competitive compensation plan. We own and operate 160+ MAT programs throughout the US. If that is in line with your expectations, please reach out to me so we may have a discussion.
