Tele Psychiatrist Opportunity - Full Time

 

Red River Hospital has been a leader in behavioral healthcare for over 40 years, providing superior healthcare treatment to the people, communities, and military installations we serve. We are a private inpatient 96 bed acute psychiatric facility dedicated to the treatment of behavioral health and substance abuse services. Located in Wichita Falls, Texas, Red River Hospital provides mental health and substance abuse treatment to the following populations:

  • Dedicated military personnel
  • Adults
  • Seniors
  • Children and adolescents (ages 12 through 17)

Overview:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
