Belmont Behavioral Health System is currently seeking a part-time Payroll Coordinator. At the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll Coordinator will prepare and maintain the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

 

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, and other information.
  • Reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Reviews weekly/bi-weekly doctor productivity pay documents.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors, if no local AP on-site.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
  • Update and maintain employee data in UltiPro and ensure confidential handling of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by CFO.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is preferred 
  • Two or more years’ human resources office experience required. 
  • Previous payroll experience preferred.
