Rio Vista Behavioral Health is an 80-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas. We provide comprehensive care for adults aged 18 and older who are struggling with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, and the effects of trauma. Our hospital offers a comfortable therapeutic environment with attention to patient safety, featuring multiple outdoor courtyards with breathtaking views of the Franklin Mountains, a large gymnasium, and numerous activity areas. The Admissions Counselor is responsible for managing the intake and admissions process for new patients. This role involves assessing patient needs, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient admission experience for patients and their families.
Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 pm-11:00 pm - 4 weekends per month.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Clinical professional responsible for facilitating admissions, clinical intake assessments and utilization review processes to assure continuity for the most appropriate level of care for patients and their benefit/resources utilization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
When a patient’s needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
