Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Top level technical expert in one or more highly specialized phases of applications programming. Acts independently under general direction. Provides technical consulting on complex projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Has full technical knowledge of all Salesforce applications programming. May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of other applications programming personnel. May have quality assurance review responsibilities. Note: This position does not perform systems analysis functions.

Responsibilities

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • In partnership with Product Owner, delivers Salesforce development to meet the business needs and requirements.
  • Manage integration and configurations in compliance with SOX regulatory controls and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and standards.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. Identify risks and issues, manage the mitigation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Lead a team of Salesforce developers, providing technical direction, mentoring, and code reviews.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Ensure best practices in Salesforce development, including customizations, integrations, data models, and security.
  • Design and develop custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce pages, and third-party integrations.
  • Implement Salesforce integrations with external systems and APIs, ensuring data consistency and synchronization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers on Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and troubleshooting. Conduct regular code reviews and ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to Salesforce development guidelines.
  • Mitigate QA and UAT results.
  • Support multiple deployments at any given time.
  • Client and vendor management and satisfaction.
  • Manage application backups and service pack updates.
    • Database management and health monitoring.

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Management Information systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of six years demonstrated and verifiable experience in a lead role supporting multi-location information technology software deployments.
  • Expertise in coding, including Apex, SOQL, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
  • Background in Salesforce product development and/or product management with extensive knowledge of business requirements, documentation and application functionality is required.
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced, high work demand, and in a multitasking environment.
  • Exposure to the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Background in clinical healthcare, accounting and/or medical billing is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and apply computer application knowledge to debug common technical issues.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills.
  • Thorough – completes the job.
  • Proper geographic positioning and willingness to travel 50 %.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Not Applicable
  • Salesforce Developer Certification
  •  Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (or relevant certification) is highly desirable.
  •  Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications are a must.
  •  Salesforce Certified Application/Development Lifecycle Professional is a plu
