Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

As a leader of the Strategy Operations Team, this role will partner with the VP Strategy & Innovation and operational leadership (including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer) to provide operational leadership and play an instrumental role in executing against Acadia’s strategy.  This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency across Acadia service lines.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as a thought partner to senior Operations and Strategy leadership, translating strategic goals into measurable action plans
  • Lead high-impact strategic and operational initiatives across Acadia’s behavioral health facility portfolio to drive performance improvement and growth
  • Partner with Finance to track and support delivery of financial goals
  • Lead executive-level operating cadence, including Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) and weekly progress evaluation
  • Lead strategic analysis informing Board of Directors and Investor meetings
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations Business Development, Clinical, Digital) to enable data-driven, action-oriented, decision-making across the enterprise
  • Refine and scale operational dashboards and reporting technologies to improve visibility, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Identify and evaluate attractiveness of operational enhancement investments
  • Drive organic growth initiatives in partnership to operational and functional leaders
  • Evaluate attractiveness and support pilot execution for new service lines
  • Evaluate and procure analytical tools to inform operational decision-making, such as 3rd party claims databases and payor rate benchmarking
  • Evaluate external partnerships to support growth and operational goals
  • Own data-driven models to define Acadia’s strategic growth plan and the best mix of growth levers
  • Collaborate with internal teams (including Corporate Development) on strategic growth projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed
  • Build local market intelligence platform to complement quantitative growth strategy

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-4+ years of experience working in an analytically intensive field (investment banking, management consulting, corporate development) or strategy operations experience at another healthcare company.
  • A self-starter, with the ability to work independently and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building and leveraging staff and partnerships at the local, regional, and national level to advance common goals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to make decisions, delegate responsibilities, and supervise or influence staff.
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Extensive experience managing budgets, completing reports, contracts, and other projects.
  • A flexible approach to work, with the willingness to travel and work occasional weekends and evenings when necessary.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel, and an ability to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • English sufficient to provide and receive clear instructions/directions.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL:

  • 3-6+ years of progressive leadership experience, including demonstrated success developing, directing and managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals.
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Supervisory experience, including ability to motivate, lead, set objectives, and manage performance.
