Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for patient safety and regulatory excellence? Join our team as a Divisional Risk Specialist, where you'll play a critical role in shaping the safety culture across multiple healthcare facilities. This is a high-impact position that blends data analysis, leadership coaching, and regulatory compliance to drive measurable improvements in patient and staff safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and analyze incident trends across assigned facilities to identify risks and drive proactive solutions
  • Guide facility leaders (CEOs, COOs, Risk Managers) in implementing sustainable risk management practices
  • Lead investigations of adverse events and ensure timely, compliant reporting to regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Legal, Compliance, HR) to resolve ethics and safety concerns
  • Support regulatory readiness and ensure alignment with Joint Commission, CMS, CARF, and other standards
  • Promote adoption of enterprise risk management tools and technologies
  • Provide expert consultation on mitigation strategies and performance improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field OR 5+ years of healthcare risk leadership
  • 2+ years of experience in psychiatric healthcare operations or risk management
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
  • Proven ability to conduct complex investigations and root-cause analyses
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (including flying and driving rental cars)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPHRM certification (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management)
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid operations

Qualifications

 

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: 

  • CPHRM preferred but not required
