Seeking: LPN Dispensing Nurse 

 

Part Time (32 Hours per week):

  • Monday - Friday, 5:45 AM - 12:00 PM
  • No weekends, evenings, or on-call shifts

East Portland Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in East Portland, Oregon, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our nursing team provides compassionate, high quality safe and efficient medication dispensing to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. Your Job as LPN Charge Nurse:

The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing a nursing work group for a specified shift in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) recovery environment, while maintaining the standards of professional a nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures. The Charge Nurse is also responsible for directing care to patients, facilitating workflows, serving as a clinical resource for staff, and providing team leadership on a shift-to-shift basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct care for patients, as well as monitors and coordinates other nurses and members of the staff on the daily medical or behavioral health care activities of the clinic
  • Schedules staff to ensure full coverage at all times and to ensure effective application of services.
  • Leads, guides, and trains employees performing work.
  • Oversees and provides direct nursing evaluation, consultation, and other related care to patients, as required.
  • Coordinates services and maintains communication with other departments or staff, as required.
  • Accurately and timely completes and maintains required documentation.
  • Oversees quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards, participates in program development, development, or implementation of operating policy and procedure, and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, as requested.
  • May be required to administer medications per physician/provider orders, accurately documents medication administration, and ensure accurate count of controlled substance medication administration on required documents.
  • May be required to perform blood and other specimen collection and processing, and reading test results as ordered by Program Physicians.
  • Based on the clinic service model, may be required to transport medication to other locations and/or work on a CTC Mobile Unit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in nursing practice
  • Supervisory experience preferred, unless otherwise required by State or Licensing requirements.
  • Prefer experience in behavioral health or addiction recovery field environment (inpatient or outpatient)
  • Training or experience treating patients with MAT (medication-assisted treatment) is highly preferred
  • There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current LPN license within the state of Oregon
  • Current CPR certification where required by state regulation.
