Acadia Healthcare is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our growing team!  This role will work hybrid work schedule.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Staff Accountant maintains the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that include analytical work and thorough review of financial records. Responsible to support the accounting department by carrying out accounting responsibilities such as: month end close, preparation of journal entries, review and analysis of account balances and oversight of intercompany accounting between the corporate office and all facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Process month-end balancing and journal entries.
  • Complete the month end process.
  • General ledger analysis of accounts.
  • Preparation of intercompany invoices sent to the facilities.
  • Reconciliation of account balances on a monthly basis.
  • Verifies accuracy and make recommendations for corrections on account balances.
  • Provide resource to facilities in their analysis of accounts on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months of accounting experience. 
  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred
  • Experience with general ledger software: HMS or equivalent.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
