About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic REMOTE Division Manager, Admissions Services to direct the remote facility admissions activities by driving the admissions process, implementing, and maintaining revenue-generating strategies.

 

This role is responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of Corporate Admissions Specialists working within the assigned Divisions to develop strategies to attain budgeted census and drive increased patient access to services.  Responsible for driving the overall performance, management, and compliance of their team of Corporate Admissions Specialists.  Implement goals, procedures, and protocols to measure, assess, and improve quality of the admissions process in coordination with the Group Director, Admissions Services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, coach and develop Corporate Admissions Specialists to reach core Key Performance Indicators specified for Corporate Remote Admissions Specialists
  • Attend all Corporate meetings/trainings as assigned
  • Provide leadership to the Corporate Admissions Specialist teams and cultivate the function of the remote admissions specialists as an integrated team
  • Train, supervise, and retain top-level talent within assigned Division
  • Responsible for Corporate Admissions Specialist personnel, providing orientation, in-service, and continuing education programs for staff and other internal positions responsible for crisis triage and/or evaluation services
  • Ensure all administrative duties are complete, timely and documented; including managing team schedules, FTE’s, activities, performance, evaluation, and communication
  • Reviews facility reports, including daily census, weekly admissions/response times, productivity, dashboard reports, quarterly goals, etc. and supports team in strategic planning
  • Determine and implement admissions best practices, promote the hospital, and maintain a satisfied referral and patient base
  • Ensure that requests for referral and admission are responded to in a timely manner with an appropriate disposition
  • Facilitate direct admissions remotely by coordinating with the physicians, referring facilities/agencies, hospital staff
  • Conducts pre-scheduled and agenda-driven facility meetings to include Directors of Admissions at the facility when needed and prepares detailed action plans to implement necessary changes in process
  • Serve as an escalation point for the Division Leaders, Directors of Admissions, hospital leadership, and Remote Admissions Specialists on high level facility, customer service issues, and patient access
  • Attend and participate in facility marketing and admissions meetings as needed
  • Remain current on behavioral healthcare industry developments and assigned states regulations
  • Implement the strategic plan of the business development, marketing, and admissions departments as it pertains to admissions to the facility and direct potential clients to treatment
  • Assign/distribute scheduled evaluations or admissions as dictated by request and hospital census
  • Develop and implement program policies and procedures that guide the provision of remote admissions services
  • Work to improve efficiency and quality in delivering services within the department, responsible for developing and meeting departmental goals and objectives
  • Ensure that the remote team is up-to-date on and compliant with new laws and regulations

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Associate’s degree in nursing, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Services field (i.e. Social Work, Sociology, Nursing, Counseling).
  • 2+ years in behavioral health admissions.
  • Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Supervisory experience
  • Certified in at least one of the following: LVN/LPN, RN, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMHC, etc.
