Salary Range: USD $59,703 – $79,141 annually
The Substance Use Counselor provides therapeutic services to residents struggling with substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions. This role includes conducting assessments, facilitating individual and group counseling, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, person‑centered care.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (degree requirements may vary by certification)
State‑recognized licensure or certification in substance use counseling (e.g., LISAC, CADC, LAC, LMSW, LPC‑Associate, or equivalent)
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders; residential or inpatient experience preferred
Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, motivational interviewing, and co‑occurring disorders
Strong communication, documentation, and clinical assessment skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
