PURPOSE STATEMENT:   The project staffing coordinator is responsible for providing interim support for identified facilities using the SmartForce application for staffing.  This position will be responsible for providing remote support for the day-to-day scheduling for identified facilities as well as support to operations, compliance, and HR as it relates to staffing effectiveness. This role may require some travel to facilities to learn the needs of the facility to provide remote support.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Responsible for primary oversite of the schedule in coordination with nursing leadership. - Works with the nursing team to provide coverage for the assigned facilities in a proactive manner by scheduling weeks in advance to fill staffing needs. - Helps facility to balance the nursing schedule when needed as well as to improve the efficiency of the scheduling process. - Ensures new employees are placed within a master schedule in a timely basis. - Helps to educate the facility nursing leaders on the use of the SmartForce system. - Runs reports as requested to track time and attendance compliance. - Regular review of facility schedules to ensure they are maintaining the integrity of the schedule ie.. management of call outs, cancellations. - Conduct periodic reviews to ensure that staff are scheduled to their commitments etc. - Upon request is able to provide analysis of past staffing patterns and or trends to support corporate departments. - Escalates concerns regarding staffing challenges in a timely manner to ensure safe staffing guidelines are maintained.   OTHER FUNCTIONS: - Performs other duties as assigned.
